The Cardiology Department staff at Lima Memorial Heart and Vascular Institute is a nationally recognized leader in cardiovascular care, heart health and research.

The division is made up of multiple specialized cardiac care units, ranging from critical care to outpatient procedures.

The Cardiology Department can perform a range of heart health services, including:

  • Cardiac catheterization
  • Angioplasty
  • Stent placement
  • Implantable cardiac defibrillators
  • Echocardiography
  • Electrophysiology
  • Stress testing

General Cardiology Clinics and Seminars

At the Heart and Vascular Institute, we offer patients a wide variety of general cardiology clinics and specialized clinics devoted to heart health issues, such as

  • congestive heart failure
  • implantable cardiac defibrillator (ICD) and pacemaker management
  • smoking cessation
  • preventive and rehabilitation services

Because of the partnership between the Heart and Vascular Institute and our Emergency Center, Lima Memorial is among the 1% of hospitals in the nation to earn Cycle IV accreditation by the Society of Chest Pain Centers – the highest accreditation possible.
